I made this card today for my brother in law's birthday. I started with a white card base, applied distress ink in Scattered straw over the front and sprayed with water. Then I stamped the text in black chalk ink, covered in Faded jeans Distress ink immediately so it would smudge the ink a bit and sprayed with water.
At first, I tried to cover the circle with Crackle accents but it was taking way too much time. So I just applied it everywhere unevenly and decided to dry it with my heat gun. That was the fun part. The Crackle accent started to boil!! It formed nice little bubbles over the surface and they dried as is. No crackles though. I'm still unsure if I like it or not... :-D So anyway, I made another one and skipped the Crackle accents. I finished my card with 2 strip of patterned paper and a chipboard. I applied a bit of dark brown chalk ink on the chipboard.
This card was made with this week's sketch from Card positioning systems.

I like that flourish and great use of that CPS sketch.
Oh this is so beautiful. I find the color combination so soothing and really aprreciate that you shared the process of making it on the post.
very pretty! thanks for using the cps sketch!
Oh, I like this card. I know what it's like to have colors turn out wrong in pictures. But this looks good even if it's not exactly accurate!
oh, and I'm sorry I am just now getting to your question about my inchies. I made them all out of polymer clay, and they don't have a chipboard backing. I don't know if the people who got them will like them because there's no real way for them to join them on a page unless they back them first! I didn't think of that, though.
I am going to be making a tutorial for the tiles, and putting it on my blog. I don't know when, because I'm still doing my Kauai update!! But, if you want, you can read Laurie Mika's book about clay tiles, because she's the one I learned from! I think it's called Mixed Media Tiles, not sure right now...
